Reflection:
I really liked this project because I was a film student and now I kind of a foodie. So this exercise played into both. As I was doing this I couldn't help but notice how technology has made this so much easier than before. I used to shoot on film and then have to take it to a lab in Hollywood to develop it. This would take a week or so. Then you had to do the sound separately as well. It took forever and you never knew exactly what you were going to get until the end of this process. If you messed up anywhere you had to reshoot and it would take even more time. Today the technical part is much improved but you still have all the same creative problems. But that is okay. That's where we want to live. That's what it's all about. All the tech in the world doesn't answer all those creative questions.
I think this could be used for all sorts of demonstrations in the classroom. Instead of having to demo it class after class. Students could look at it whenever they needed to refresh their memories. And like our class we could eventually teach students how to make their own "How to" videos.
